Jakson successfully installed and commissioned a 425 KW solar power plant at Jakson Inn, Phaltan, Maharashtra. Jakson provided turnkey solar EPC services for this plant that included design, engineering, supply, erection, construction, testing & commissioning, and related civil work. The plant will generate approx 560000 KWh of green energy every year for captive consumption. It is also enabled with net-metering facility to sell off excess electricity to power utilities. Jakson Inns located in Phaltan, Maharastra is a hotel owned and operated by the hospitality arm of Jakson Group. Established in the year 2012, Jakson Inn is a Platinum Leed Certified Hotel with 69 deluxe rooms and 4 suites. The hotel also boasts two large lawns ideal for BBQ’s, Grills & theme dinners with the capacity to accommodate up to 1000 guests. The hotel serves the catchment of nearby industrial areas as well as a perfect weekend destination from Pune offering options of tours to nearby vineyards, forts, organic farms and windmills, nature treks and more. 

Business Need

Jakson Inn decided to install a solar plant at its premises, with the intention of reducing operating costs while using cleaner, cheaper and sustainable energy sources. Over and above that, the decision is in line with the philosophy of Jakson Group, which has always been to propagate and use renewable sources of energy wherever possible.

As such, the hotel operations are highly energy-intensive. Most of the electricity is used for space cooling / heating, lighting and other amenities. Installing solar power will not only result in substantial savings in electricity costs but also aid in the quest for environment friendly hotel operations.
