The evolution of Jakson Group from a small electrical trading company to one of India’s leading energy and engineering solutions organization is now a case study published by Ivey Publishing, a unit of Ivey Business School at Western University, Canada. Ivey Publishing is a world leader in providing business case studies with a global perspective across the globe.
The case study title “Jakson – Evolution of a Brand” will be available for use by faculty members of premier business schools, publishers, and corporations worldwide for use in their classrooms, textbooks, workshops and seminars.
Jakson was awarded the Electrical & Mechanical project (E&M) for Kochi Metro Rail project by DMRC. Scope of work for this project included supply, installation, testing and commissioning of DG sets, electrical LT panels, lighting systems, EOT cranes, fire-fighting, plumbing & HVAC systems for all 22 metro stations and 1 metro depot. The project was completed in a span of 2 years which is fastest completion for DMRC for any Metro project in the country. The first phase of 11 stations was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi on June, 2017.
Jakson showcased its innovative engineering capabilities by successfully integrating solar panels on the roof of 50 coaches of Indian Railways. It was a complex design and engineering challenge to integrate solar panels on the roof of coaches that run up-to speeds of 120 km per hour. Each single coach was installed with twelve high efficiency polycrystalline solar panels. These solar panels were fitted on the rooftop using specially designed U-channels that were welded to the body of the coach.
