Rooftop solar PV system at LBS Airport, Varanasi

Jakson successfully installed and commissioned 600 kW Rooftop Solar PV plant at Lal Bahadaur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi. The project was executed under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in partnership with Airports Authority of India (AAI). The scope of work included design, supply, installation & commissioning of rooftop solar PV power plant on build, own & operate basis. A total of 2000 high efficiency, non-reflective PV modules of 300 Wp were used to set up this plant producing over 800 MWh of electricity per annum. This translated into substantial savings in running costs of the facility. This project by Jakson has been a trendsetter in the...

Providing uninterrupted power to India’s largest cricket stadium

Eden Gardens, India’s largest cricket stadium by seating capacity is a major venue for international cricket tournaments including day and night matches. For matches held during night, it is important that the stadium has uninterrupted supply of power. Although power from the grid is available, the stadium administration wanted to install and commission a reliable diesel power solution which could provide them with constant power for powering the stadium lights during night matches. The stadium administration could not take any chances as power failure even for a single second could halt an ongoing match or worse impact the outcome of a...

Innovative Solar Rooftop Solution for an International Stadium

Jakson successfully commissioned a 400KW Solar Rooftop power plant at the Yamuna Sports Complex (YSC) in New Delhi, India.  It was a turnkey Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) project awarded to Jakson by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in RESCO model. Installation of this solar rooftop plant at YSC posed a challenge to the engineering team of Jakson as the stadium had a metal roof structure. It was difficult to install a module mounting structures without piercing the roof. In order to ensure there was no damage to the roof, Jakson used an innovative Klip Lock mounting system, which enabled module installation without piercing...
